Founder Ian, a Texas native with a lifelong love for food, noticed something missing. While Texas is known for bold flavors and strong culture, there wasn’t a dessert brand that truly captured the warmth, comfort, and pride that defines Houston and the state as a whole.

When the idea for Bites was shared, many heard it. Leke believed it.

The two go back years — from football practices to late‑night food runs and long gaming sessions at Ian’s house, where conversations about food were constant. Even then, it was obvious that Ian had a special palate and a deep respect for food culture. Bites wasn’t a random idea — it was the natural next step.

Together, they built Bites with one goal in mind:
